If you’ve seen anything we’ve posted so far this month, you’ll know that I’m a recent convert to Microsoft Edge. Even in this current version, learning the ways that all the wild and wacky (okay they’re not that wacky) Microsoft Edge features can make me more productive has been both fun and interesting (clearly I’m fun at parties) – but now Microsoft is taking it a step further for all of you business users.

What is Microsoft Edge for Business?
Microsoft Edge for Business is a browser experience that comes to life through your Azure Active Directory account. Sporting a unique icon and name, it’s designed to keep your work and personal browsing distinct. Currently in preview, Microsoft Edge for Business is compatible with Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.

Leveraging the formidable security technologies found in regular Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Edge for Business packs a punch with SmartScreen, Application Guard, and Password Monitor. It even supports Azure Active Directory Conditional Access policies, giving you the power to set access rules based on factors like user identity, device status, location, and app sensitivity.
2. Productivity
Seamless integration with Microsoft 365 apps like Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Office Online elevates your workflow. Features like Collections, Vertical Tabs, Immersive Reader, and PDF annotations make organising information and enhancing your reading experience a breeze.

Tailoring your browser settings is made easy with Microsoft Edge for Business. Use Group Policy or Microsoft Endpoint Manager for customisations and controls. Worried about staying up to date? The Microsoft Edge Update service ensures you have the latest security and feature updates.
4. Compatibility
Modern and legacy web applications can easily coexist thanks to Microsoft Edge for Business’s dual-engine architecture. This combines the Chromium-based rendering engine with the Internet Explorer mode. You’re also equipped with the Enterprise Site List Manager tool to manage which sites open in which browser mode.
