What happens to what you type
The PDF tools, the password generator and the signature generator do all their work in your browser. Your files and the details you type are not sent to us or anyone else. The signature generator only loads a logo image if you give it one.
Three tools have to look something up. The email security check asks Cloudflare's public DNS resolver about the domain you enter. The domain availability check uses the same resolver for .au names and the registries' public records (Verisign and Public Interest Registry) for .com, .net and .org. The breached-password check sends Have I Been Pwned only the first 5 characters of your password's SHA-1 fingerprint, never the password. Each tool's page says exactly what it sends.
Like the rest of this site, the tool pages count visits with Google Analytics. It never receives your files, the names you type or the passwords you generate. Our privacy notice has the details.
